Bruce Clay, Father of SEO, conducts training at the Treehouse
At the Treehouse, we’re always working to stay on the cutting edge of an industry that is ever changing, in our case, that of Contractor SEO.
We were honored (and excited!) to have the opportunity to train with global search marketing optimization industry leader, Bruce Clay. The focus for three solid days was SEO, which included discussions around strategies on how best to enhance for an ever-changing Google algorithm which currently has over 300 variables built into it to consider when optimizing for our contractor websites.
Bruce has been in the search business since 1996, which believe it or not, is longer than Google has been around. His years of experience is almost matched by that of our esteemed Director at the Treehouse, Rick Cleri, who began his own career in search in 1998. This allowed the Treehouse team to witness some rather unique conversations that shared deeply insightful learnings, offered by the kind of dialogue that could only be held between two respected veterans of the search industry. The kind of information you would certainly not find in a textbook.
Bruce has offices worldwide including the United States, Japan, India, Australia, and more, with new offices in the works for Hong Kong and Singapore. His clients include big names like Netflix, Target, Toyota and eBay, which as you can imagine, allowed him to share some remarkable teachings not only from a global perspective, but from across different industries.
For the duration, we had 25 Treehouse team members in a room with the Father of SEO. As a matter of fact, go ahead and do a web search for “Father of SEO” and look what Google delivers to you as the answer, Bruce Clay of course! It was an intense, information filled learning experience where Bruce left the team with short term SEO tips and tricks to apply to our contractor websites right away, along with a host of strategies to consider testing and applying to our industry, contractor SEO.
The Treehouse team came away truly inspired, completely invigorated and are already hard at work applying what was learned to our contractor websites.
